Why This Website

The struggle for spirituality is common for Christians. We know the need and we desire to grow spiritually but we have a hard time grasping the process.

First of all, the growth process for the Christian is not ours to accomplish. The Holy Spirit has the job of Sanctifying us as Christians. Many Christians do not know what Sanctification means. It does not mean we are “saints” in the sense that we are perfect. No one who has ever lived achieved perfection except Jesus Himself. That is why He was able to die for our sins. Our goal however is to become like Jesus.

The Holy Spirit has several jobs. One of those is to make us like Jesus.

John 16:8 (NKJV)
8 And when He (the Holy Spirit) has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

2 Thessalonians 2:13 (KJV)
God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

From the day of our accepting Christ as our Savior, The Holy Spirit began His work in us to conform us to the image of Jesus Christ. It is a process that can never be completed while we live on earth.

We know what God expects of us but we also know that we do not have the ability in our humanity to reach that goal. It is a frustrating effort until we realize it is His job not ours. Our job is to desire it and to allow that process to take place.

Spiritual Growth is our effort to let the Holy Spirit grow us and fill us every day. It is our willingness to yield to His work.

No one can teach you to grow spiritually. It is only because we desire to grow closer to God and to please Him in every way. There are many ways we can do that.
